H+G and the world-renowned furniture and interior designer, Morten Georgsen, are pleased to announce an exclusive furniture design and build collaboration for the rapidly growing accommodation sector across Europe.
This collaboration will enable H+G to produce functional, aesthetic, durable and sustainable products appealing to both landlords and tenants, positively impacting conversion rates, increasing WALT, returns and valuations for the BtR, Shared Living, Shared Working and Senior Living accommodation markets.
H+G targets specific advice and design, working on a long term basis with our clients, to tailor fit outs that are going to optimise engagements and conversion. Working with Morten and combining that with the experience of our own design team will drive marketing opportunities around the fit out. Showcasing the design, its aesthetics and the sustainable credentials we adhere to form the basis of a campaign.
Dan Sennett, CEO of H+G, comments that together, Morten and H+G will work with some of the largest property and asset managers in the world to provide them with not just functional and aesthetic, desirable furniture, but pieces which are durable and sustainable.
Morten is very excited, saying its a great opportunity to work exclusively with H+G and their clients in this growing area of the accommodation market, to create furniture and spaces for them and their tenants to enjoy.
H+G is also a committed member of the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC) and the collaboration with Morten will shape the boundaries and standards for sustainability and design across Europe.
Further to this collaboration, H+G would like to announce it has recently expanded its UK operation with two significant hires. Emma Matthews joins from Knight Frank and Alex Stewart joins from HSBC. Both hires bring with them a wealth of experience of the BTR and wider residential real estate sector in the UK and will work closely with asset and property managers to enhance their residential schemes.
Morten Georgsen was born in Denmark and trained in design and product management at Bang & Olufsen for 9 years. In 1992 he established his own studio, Futhark Design, in Denmark.
In 2002 he moved to Valencia, where the main offices are still located. The studio became “Morten Georgsen” in 2014. Morten created the first marble extendable table in the world. He incorporated this system on the designs for Ronald Schmitt, Maurice Villency (Roche Bobois) and more.
One of the strongest points of the studio is the variety of nationalities, ages and professional backgrounds. Elegant simplicity and exciting functions are what define Morten’s designs, which is why their works are sold globally.
It is one of the most successful design studios in the field of furniture. Morten’s designs have been featured in publications like Schöner Wohnen, Design Milk and Vogue Living amongst many others.
The studio has been the No 1 design company for BoConcept for the last 25 years. Morten is a juror at IF design, and that he just won a German Design Awards (Gold) for outdoor seating.
